College Works Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

College Works Painting means a great chance at success in any field.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

My experience with College Works Painting is the reason I got the position I did out of college. My interview was a breeze after explaining what I had accomplished with College Works Painting.

What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?

Schwartz. 2012. Everything went wrong. Fired my entire crew, my sprayer broke and it rained. They were awesome and helped me to become a better manager by not getting mad and allowing me to work out the kinks.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

No situation is ever as bad as you think it is. Don’t stress and work through it.

How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?

I’m not to far removed but I made a lot of good friends and contacts and know that I can contact them if I need anything later in my career.

If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?

Work hard, play harder.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Do everything your managers tell you no matter what it is. Do whatever it takes to get into the GO BIG CLUB.

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

No other internship will come close to giving you the experience companies look for when hiring. Everyone does an internship, not everyone runs their own business.

What’s your favorite memory from CW?

Going to see the Red Hot Chili Peppers with the Go Big Club.

Last words of wisdom?

“Ima tell you, like Wu told me cash rules everything around me, singing dollar dollar bills yall.”
