In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting was the single most rewarding experience, both personally and professionally, up to this point in my life.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
I finished my degree on a Friday, started work that following Monday, and it took me 6 weeks from my start date to get promoted twice – the equivalent of one years worth of career advancement in 10% of the time. Now I utilize the skills learned to be one of the top performers in my company.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
That working hard makes playing hard that much more fun. There’s a difference between enjoyment(play) and fulfillment(accomplishment) that you don’t normally get a chance to experience as a college student. College Works Painting gave me that experience and allowed me to realize the value of doing things for fulfillment.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
College Works Painting is hard, but if it aligns with your goals post-graduation then it’s easy to complete. Understand how completing a challenging program like College Works Painting will help you get where you want to go and it will be easy to complete.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Having actual, hands on experience is the key to getting a position and moving up quickly.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Cancun is pretty awesome and totally worth the extra work to qualify.
