I am currently a Principal and Co-Founder at MB Development Company. Our goal is to cultivate and develop real estate opportunities along California’s Central Coast and in Los Angeles County. Our mission is to work with communities and provide much needed housing and commercial services in California’s emerging residential markets. I am transitioning from my position at Hawkeye Investments II, where I helped entitle and develop close to 1000 residential dwelling units in Ventura County and the Central Coast area.
What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?Leading my first site-plan meeting with the city staff, the investors, and developers, there with me and having the plan get approved and move forward to completion.
Success is earned, not given.
My three years in College Works Painting are what allowed me to even be considered for this position. I use the skills I used in College Works Painting everyday.
Follow up. Follow up. Follow up. I thought I was beating it over the head in College Works Painting. I spend a lot of my day calling architects, developers, city staff, investors, making sure they are doing what they told me they are going to do.
No one is entitled to anything. If you want it, go take it. Also, no one cares where you went to school or what your grades were. Focus on yourself and be the best person you can be. That will take you further than any degree.
If you say you’re going to do something, do it. The people I work with do not care about college or GPA. All that matters in Real Estate Investment is: can you deliver!
There are so many I can’t say :) Probably first training my freshmen year of college. I never had a job before College Works Painting and going through the interview process and sitting in that conference room felt like I finally had made it.
Have fun.
