Becoming the Director of Ticket Sales for the Gateway Grizzlies. It is a position that is typically reserved for someone older and with more industry experience. At the age of 23, and only one prior season, Gateway was both comfortable and willing to give me the job.
In a sense, College Works Painting showed me how to handle failure and how to overcome mistakes and eventually succeed, both professionally and personally.
My experience at College Works Painting has without a doubt propelled my career forward, past my peers even, and I really can’t thank College Works Painting enough. I was only 18/19 when I was an intern, and did not run the most successful branch. Yet, I was able to apply the skills, techniques, and the experience itself that I learned to my job today.
I can’t think of any one particular lesson, but the entire experience was incredibly beneficial.
The College Works Painting internship is hard work, and at times you may hate the work and you’ll never want to look a can of paint again. But keep grinding through it, it’ll all work out and pay off in the end.
