College Works Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

Experience working with real people on real problems.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

College Works Painting gave me the leg up on all other candidates for internships and jobs. I had the experience that recruiters were looking for and got into my desired industry. Not many people get to work in sports and I’m lucky to be one that does.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

How to be efficient with my time. I thought I knew how to work efficiently before, but College Works Painting fine-tuned the skill. Now I am much more efficient in the work place than my coworkers who think they are being efficient.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

Be ready to work harder than you thought possible. Be ready to grow more than you thought you were able. Be open to learning because you never know what you’re good at until you try it. I NEVER thought I would end up working in sales and here I am!

What’s your favorite memory from CW?

I loved being a part of the High Rollers club and doing those various activities. The one that sticks out is racing go carts.

Last words of wisdom?

You are the master of your destiny. You determine how hard you work, not your DM. You determine how long you knock doors, not your VP. You determine how many calls an hour you make, not your coworkers. In the end, you are as successful as you choose to be.
