What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?I have had several great accomplishments, but my proudest one so far has been graduating from the University of Washington.

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting provided the groundwork for my professional career.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
The skills and lessons I learned from my time as an intern for College Works Painting have been helpful in situations after. I always use several experiences as examples of how I learned to handle difficult situations, manage my time and team, as well as how setting expectations is key.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
As I mentioned above, the greatest lesson I learned from my experience was that it is important to establish expectations with people you work with, people you work for and anyone else. If the expectations aren’t aligned due to miscommunications or other factors, difficulties can arise.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
The most important thing is not what programs you participate in but you have gained from your participation. Not everyone is going to have a great experience but if you are able to learn from your mistakes or the mistakes of others, then it was a success.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Continue to be inquisitive and find answers to your questions, whether that is from textbooks, internet research, online courses or someone within your field.
