Brief Description of Duties / Responsibilities:

BucketMatch was founded in April 2024 to remove the barriers that prevent people from taking that trip, or writing that book, or starting that YouTube channel, or telling that certain someone that you love them BEFORE it’s too late. We’re building a platform that connects adventurers, creatives, and life-enthusiasts to deliberately go after their bucket list dreams, together. Our mission is to create a world where people measure the richness of their lives based on the experiences they share. We’re just getting started and we’d love for you to check us out.

What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?

Signing an offer letter to work at my number one choice company, Zenefits – the fastest growing SaaS company in history. I felt blessed to be in a position to choose where I ended up, and not the other way around.

College Works Career Impact

In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?

College Works Painting gave me the platform I needed to prove to myself what I was capable of at a young age.

How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?

I spent a year abroad in Tokyo, Japan after finishing up at UCSD. Before returning back to the US, I already had multiple job offers. Most of my college friends spent about 3-6 months post grad searching for work. I made my final decision, signed my offer letter, and starting working all within 1 month of returning to the US.

What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?

Too many to choose just one! But in general, I learned that your ability to create value in yourself is one of the most essential skills to have, in order to be successful. Whenever you have multiple options, always choose the one that you know will add the most value to who you are as a person. I think that if you maintain this philosophy, you will never be disappointed in the long-run.

Advice

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?

For potential College Works Painting participants – Just do it! For current College Works Painting participants – You might have just made the most impactful decision of your college career. Take hold of this opportunity and make the best of it! Whenever you get to the point where you want to take a break, force yourself to knock on one more door.

What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?

Take risks and find ways to stand out. Never stop learning.
