College Works Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting was a wake up call.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting developed my ability to sell, which is a skill I will use in every aspect of my life.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
My favorite client was actually my toughest client. He got upset at me and I had to take my supplies to go touch up something at his house. Not to mention, my power washer wasn’t working so I had to rent one from Sherwin Williams. Oh, and I almost forgot the giant possum (at least 3 feet long) that we found as we were painting. No, I’m not crazy for saying this was my favorite client. I learned the most from him and he allowed me to realize that there are people in this world that aren’t easy to work with.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
God’s plan is the best and His timing is perfect.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
Friendships and networks built during College Works Painting have allowed me to realize what true loyalty is.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Put in the work at College Works.

What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Don’t do it if you’re not all in.
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
Give me a call.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Follow Jesus.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Painting houses (I’m serious).
Last words of wisdom?
Humble yourself.
