College Works Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
Drive and compassion are within the foundations of our beings when we are given the opportunity to exercise them.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
I have been offered several internships since College Works Painting (simply because of my ability to listen and build rapport). I have also changed my career path from teaching to entrepreneurship (within the arts).
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
Every one of my clients gave me a fantastic opportunity in working with them. I offer my sincerest thanks to every one of them.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
Time management and the integrity to do what you say.
How have the friendships and networks you built during CW affected you?
I have built friendships with some of the most impressive young people I have had the privilege of knowing, as well as a beautiful new relationship with our top intern, Will Rhinehart. I will also be providing my artistic abilities at our VP Chris Hamilton’s wedding.
If you had to come up with a one line slogan for CW, what would it be?
Work hard, play hard!
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
College Works Painting will change your life by opening new doors, challenging what yo know, and throwing you head-first into problem/solution situations. With College Works Painting you get what you work for. I would advise everyone to not give up! This is a beautiful thing!
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
I would suggest College Works Painting. There are invaluable skills that you learn throughout this internship which are typically not learned elsewhere (especially withing the arts).
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Making my toast at the final dinner to my fellow interns and VP.
Last words of wisdom?
Work hard, play hard!
