College Works Career Impact
In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting taught me early to get comfortable being uncomfortable.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
Yes. College Works Painting gave me the experience and confidence to step into a top sales position at Quicken Loans shortly after graduation.
What do you want to tell your clients about what it meant to work with them and how it has helped you get to where you are today?
To all of them. Thanks for trusting a cocky kid to paint your house.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
That being able to motivate others is more important than working hard.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Find people that have the things in life that you want and do what they do. And always watch your overspray :)
Many college students struggle to choose between an internship specific to their target industry or doing CW. What advice would you give them on this subject if they wanted to enter your career field?
Step up your game! If what your doing isn’t working then stop doing it!
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
No matter what the job market throws at you, there is always room for ambitious people with an entrepreneurial mindset.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Just doing it and being successful at it. The trips were nice too :)
