What Has Been Your Proudest Accomplishment Post-CWP?Being promoted within the first year at Cerner.
The person I am today was built upon the relationships and values I learned with College Works Painting.
Within the 2 years at Cerner I have been given the opportunity to manage projects and lead our implementations. This is something that typically takes 4-5 years to obtain, but through my experience at College Works Painting and degree from KSU I was able to get a position that I thoroughly enjoy.
Failure is an opportunity to build upon. It creates an invaluable learning opportunity and you must seize that moment to become a better leader. Many failures help build your leadership skills and transform the way you react to challenges going forward.
Don’t always think in the NOW, but look towards the WHY. Ex. Why am I learning how to manage a crew instead of me just doing the work myself? A good leader will ensure they can focus on the bigger picture and not the smaller tasks at hand. Fast Forward…How do you communicate priorities to the C suite at Hospital Systems? It’s surprisingly similar to managing a College Works Painting branch.
The look on all my classmates face every year when I visited Cancun for free!!!
Do what you need to do now so you can do what you want to do later.
