In one sentence, what has CW meant to you?
College Works Painting made me grow up and even though it was miserable at times I am glad I did the program.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
I think my experience at College Works Painting made me stand out and got me a job. I will keep you posted on how it affects my career after.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
You will see the reward from your hard work long after this internship is over. You’ll make money but what is more important is that you are head and shoulders past your peers in terms of maturity and the ability to sell to people as well as manage them.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
It’s a three way tie between cabrewing at a payroll, hanging out at my DMs house, and the first job I booked.
Last words of wisdom?
Don’t do this internship if you are not wise beyond your years. It requires a level of maturity that most college kids (especially a freshman intern like I was) do not possess. And have some fun with it. You get to be your own boss.
