College Works Painting was a great learning experience.
How did your CW experience impact your career? Immediately after graduation? Now?
College Works Painting taught me how to run my own business. Gave me an inspiration to be an entrepreneur either now or in the near future.
What was the greatest lesson you learned from your CW experience?
That running your own business is very tough and demanding, but can be very rewarding. Every client matters and can make or break your reputation.
Advice
What advice do you have for potential CW participants? Current CW participants?
Make sure you are prepared to work hard and have a lot of fun. If you do things correctly you will be able to enjoy both.
What’s your best advice for someone interested in entering your career field?
Take full advantage of the guidance by you district managers, and ask a lot of questions. Be fully confident and work as hard as you can during the short season. Once you see how successful you really can be, you we want to do more. Focus on your marketing and sales at the beginning of the season, and don’t worry about starting operations. You want to lock in as many clients as you can before starting operations as your energy will shift to operations.
What’s your favorite memory from CW?
Trips to Kansas City for our meetings.

Take the opportunity and make the most of it. You will be happy you did.
